Healthy Teeth for Healthy Kids

Taking good care of your child’s teeth is important as soon as his first tooth erupts. This article has some great tips!

Remember that fluoride is not added to the tap water in the lower mainland, so it is important to brush the teeth with a fluoridated toothpaste 2x daily. Use a rice grain size of toothpaste if < 3 years of age, upgrade to a pea size if > 3 years of age. If your local water supply is fluoride supplemented, then use a non-fluoridated toothpaste until the age of 2 years. Happy brushing!
