EVENT – Anxiety in Youth

Special guest speakers, Dr. Keyvan Hadad (pediatrician), and Dr. Deb MacNamara (clinical counsellor) from the Children and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Collaborative are hosting a presentation in Vancouver to bring awareness to anxiety in children and teens. 

Anxiety is one of the leading issues among children and teens today. It can happen anywhere and takes on many forms including worrying, obsessions, compulsions, phobias and other perplexing behaviours. The presentation will focus on:

  • Increasing the attendees knowledge of anxiety in youth and children
  • Increasing the neighborhood’s awareness of services in the community and how to access them
  • Getting to know how services could work better to serve the needs of the neighborhood

WHEN:  Wednesday, March 8th 2017
6:00 p.m. – Doors open – Meet local service providers
6:45 to 8:00 p.m. – Guest speakers:
8:00 to 9:00 p.m. – Questions, answers & conversations with speakers and service providers
